Diagnostic Pathology Update 2013

The USCAP Diagnostic Pathology course has a long standing tradition of providing cutting-edge education for practicing surgical pathologists and residents, and 2013 will continue this tradition of excellence!

Revised in 2011, participants will again benefit from a dynamic educational experience through rich content, renowned speakers, and a format designed to utilize highly effective teaching tools. Participants continue to rave about our speakers, who are nationally and internationally known for their diagnostic expertise and their exceptional teaching skills.

Diagnostic Pathology has dramatically changed its format specifically to enhance your learning and retention. Traditional didactic lectures focus in diagnostically challenging areas for each major organ system or subspecialty area. The speakers integrate teaching on morphology with diagnostic assays, including immunohistochemistry and molecular advances. Diagnostic Pathology also recognizes the value of experiential learning. This course incorporates interactive sessions designed to give the participant an opportunity to actively reinforce the learning concepts. There will be live slide review sessions using a video-microscope. The faculty will have cases to show, but we also encourage you to bring interesting cases to share with the faculty and other participants. Faculty will host "Pop-Quiz" sessions that use an audience response system for short, targeted cases and educational questions to reinforce key points.

Diagnostic Pathology has a specially designed schedule that maximizes your continuing medical education and allows for some fun. Some sessions will even be run twice, in early bird and night-owl time spots, to suit your circadian rhythm and recreation schedule.

Join us for a week in Anchorage, Alaska during one of its most beautiful seasons while acquiring valuable education unsurpassed in our field.
